What we will never do
Plenty of services in this space cut corners. We built Appointment Scout on a stricter code, because it keeps the playing field fair and keeps your data safe.
- We never book, hold, or reserve slots. You always book yourself, so no slot is ever taken out of circulation by a bot.
- We never log in to the DMV or touch your personal records. We only look at the same public availability page any visitor can see. Your license number, DOB, and SSN never come near us.
- We check politely. A few gentle checks per office, spaced out like a patient human, with an honest self-identifying signature. No flooding, no proxies, no tricks.
- We collect the minimum. An email, a phone number, and your watched offices. Payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see or store your card.

Do you book the appointment for me?
No, and that is on purpose. We alert you the moment a slot opens, and you book it yourself on the official DMV site. This keeps things fair for everyone and means we never need your license number or any personal DMV records.
Are you affiliated with the DMV?
No. Appointment Scout is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any DMV or government agency. We simply watch the same public availability page you can see yourself.
How fast are the alerts?
We check each watched office every few minutes around the clock. When availability flips from unavailable to open, the text goes out right away. Slots still go fast, so book as soon as you get the alert.
What if no slot opens up?
Cancellations are common, so openings show up more often than you would expect. But we cannot create slots that do not exist, and availability is always subject to DMV rules. Since it is a one-time purchase that does not auto-renew, you are never locked in or charged again automatically.
What do you do with my information?
We store your email, phone number, and which offices you watch. Nothing else. Payments run through Stripe, so your card never touches our systems. Reply STOP to any text to opt out of SMS instantly, and you can delete your data from your account page.
